11th International Conference on Ultrasonic Biomedical Microscanning

Held every two years, the 2018 meeting was in Connecticut at the Interlaken Inn September 23-26. The 2020 meeting is under planning. Stay tuned for more information via the email list. This conference is focused on advances being made to examine tissue microstructures with very-high-frequency ultrasound (20 MHz and above). Topics of interest include:

  • basic physical phenomena
  • novel processing and technology
  • preclinical and clinical imaging
  • photoacoustic imaging
  • acoustic microscopy
  • cellular imaging
  • intraluminal imaging
  • high-frequency biological effects
  • advances in acoustic and photoacoustic contrast agents
  • theranostic micro-ultrasound imaging

We review the current state-of-the-art, identify key problems and potential solutions and share insights into future directions with a goal of advancing biological and medical applications. We also promote informal discussions among scientists, engineers, clinicians, ultrasound manufactures and students interested in high-frequency ultrasound.
